Favorite Project: My favorite project involved examining the immunity of a United Nations employee. Although this was a very challenging project, we developed strong points to counter the other side’s arguments. I enjoyed every moment of this project because it involved analyzing various constitutional provisions. Constitutional law was my favorite subject in law school and still remains exciting to me today.
Source of inspiration: My parents are my source of inspiration. They face challenging times with courage, which has equipped me to confront life’s problems with confidence.
Favorite quote: “There is no substitute for hard work.” -- Thomas Edison
Why you decided to be an attorney: Right from my school days, my passion was to become an attorney. As a child, I witnessed several human rights violations against downtrodden people whose financial limitations did not allow them access to a judicial forum for the redressal of their grievances. I became an attorney to help the downtrodden fight for their rights. To effectuate this goal, I participate in free legal aid camps.
Hobby or activity: Cooking: almost all of my Atlas team members have tasted and love my food preparations.
Person you would most like to meet: Ram Jethmalani - one of the most eminent criminal defense attorneys in India.
What do you enjoy most about being an attorney? I thrive on bringing success to our clients in a complicated and tough case.
If you could choose to work on any legal project - current or past, anywhere in the world - what would it be? I would like to be a defense attorney in the International Criminal Court.
